I gave them some grace with Lard Baby because this band had time to develop on their sophomore album, but it still sounds like if a Nirvana cover band tried to make original songs. They're not bad, but purely mediocre.

I'm really rooting for this band, because they do know how to play. Try to be more original

To start the review off, there isn't much to be said about Sap that hasn't been said before. This is NOT a developmental piece for their career as a band. Honestly, it just feels like their last record, "Lard Baby" but with more personal moments, and less storytelling ones. I love this so much, while yes obviously there are very obvious 90s Seattle grunge influences which do definitely get a bit TOO obvious on certain tracks , there are plenty of moments on here where the band show their own identity.
