Consistency combined with raw power makes this record a standout of April.
This album really flew under my radar right up until release date, and I still didn’t really know what I was getting into when pressing the play button, so there are going to be surprises around every corner with this record. Really cool mix of post-hardcore, post-metal, metalcore, shoegaze and i am sure there is something i missed! The shoegaze influence is really felt throughout the album, and it creates a really nice atmosphere.
The harsh vocals sounds really good, the clean vocals are okay, but could be better i think. The spoken-word vocals gets a bit much in some of the tracks, like in 'The Ascend', but the track has a wonderful ... read more
