The Program makes for a strong second effort from Marion. Arguably it's a much more successful record than This World and Body, keeping the immediate, sudden joys of that album with a much more nuanced performance from Jaime Harding in particular.
The ultimate frustration of 'The Program' is that it neither scoops you up to a higher plane, nor leaves you confused and unsettled. Instead, it's a reasonable album from a better-than-average indie band.
Marion’s second and final is a more focused album than their first, another criminally underrated britpop album.
