I was not expecting this to be so heavy on the Jazz. What a treat! From what I've heard, Chillhop Music puts out mostly Lo-Fi, slow plodding beats with a 1/3 high hat or some other jazz cymbal. I was expecting to be zoned out with some couch melt music. This was clocking in at 90- 110 bpm with Jazz instrumentation pushing it along. Uptempo and fun, it's just a nice 20 minute EP of on your feet jazzy beats.
i remember about a year ago i rediscovered soulful while waiting outside a grocery store. COMPLETELY forgot the song, but it was one of my favorites from when i first discovered lo-fi. the rest of the album isnt quite as strong, but its a great and simple 20 minute album
