Elyse

This album unfolds like a folksy fairy tale, with through lines of death without romance or waiting for death while in love. At times it is really plaintive and sorrowful, and other times it's plucky and borderline corny and over performed. An album with high highs for sure, the lows make it feel very much a product of its time. An interesting and magical feeling experience altogether.
