This album definitely leans more into the ‘80s synth-pop sound compared to Saga’s earlier, heavier prog rock style. They took their sound as close to ‘80s new wave as possible without fully crossing over, keeping their prog rock identity intact. The songs still have some technicality, but they’re mostly catchy and radio-friendly, with solid hooks.
