Het isn't spectacular Masada full of fireworks, but there's plenty of that around -- this is just a very good, solid disc packed with strong performances and material.
Zorn a Day 035 - a return to form
Het is a true comeback for the Masada series, easily full of far more life and ideas than the last few records. It’s a welcome change of pace as even the slower tracks have far more intrigue than usual. Even if there are a couple meh tracks sprinkled in, most of these are some great long-form jazz/Klezmer. Definitely a highlight of Book one.
