I only remember a few moments of consciousness that I experienced as a kid kid before I really realized I was living and could remember things, but I'll always remember the opening to Curious George with this song and it's just always been one of my favorite songs. The lyrics are great, the guitar is outstanding, and it's really emotional that it can make you either feel hopeful or the single most depressing song you've ever heard.
I loved curious George as a kid so this song was been with me almost my whole life but in retrospect, it's still a master piece of a song, so melancholic and calming, as Jack sings about the nature of curiosity and love, source of all motivation to keep on living. To see and do new things every day is why I wake up to see what life has to offer. While sometimes it may be uncomfortable, I wouldn't want it any other way. Change under your control is one of most beautiful thing one can experience.
It might be nostalgia, but I love this song. Jack Johnson is an artist that, from what I heard, is good. I like the songs that I heard from him. This song is the first one that I heard from him. When I was younger, I used to love the Curious George movie and used to watch it a quite a bit.
