Better than the other album I've heard from them, but I still wish they properly went into the more first wave black metal sound that was gaining traction in europe at the time, as it feels like they are continuously flirting with those elements while not committing
Thanks for reccomendation @Grunge_Man
Quite a good album, but vocals are clearly not my thing. It was better than I expected from heavy metal or first wave black metal, which I'm not a fan of. The best tracks are:
Czas Zemsty,Wyrocznia,666,Czarne Zastępy.
Would this be considered first wave black metal? I would say so, even though it leans much more on the blackened trad metal end of that sound. This just has that classic feel and sound, it’s such a charmingly satanic 80s metal album. The production may not be good and the screams occasionally sound like Donald Duck, but that just adds to the cheesy and “evil” charm of this album. Also the solos on here fucking smoke.
