Back for the Attack certainly isn't Dokken's greatest album, yet it remains a worthwhile listen -- unfortunately, however, it was their last enjoyable studio release.

Classic Rock

Back For The Attack was a strong record. While it was route-one stuff – arena rock with a heavy metal edge – Dokken’s music had its own distinct flavour, characterised by Don’s melodic voice and the George’s guitar-hero pyrotechnics.

Night by Night is the only song I dislike on the album, the rest is killer classic Dokken. Filled with great hooks, riffs, and Don’s amazing vocals. So many just awesome tracks on here that rank amongst Dokken’s best. Such as Kiss of Death, Heaven Sent, Mr. Scary, Stop Fighting Love, etc.

The favprite of most dokken fans who prefer the heavier side of metal, and altho dream warriors is my favorite dokken song and mr scary is one of the best instrumentals ever theres some fluff here even if that fluff is very very enjoyable. ranks up there with the best of dokken. (9/10)
