Metal Injection

All in all, if you're looking for a dose of heavy metal with talent at every position, Sumerlands have got the job done with Dreamkiller. Unflinchingly old school and packed with killer riffs, you'd have a tough time picking this out of a line-up of music from the actual time period it's succeeding at emulating.

Peak heavy metal, some of the best modern stuff I've heard. All the songs have been catchy, and the fact that I'm still revisiting this two years later, despite not listening to this genre a whole lot, says everything.

There’s a bit more like vocal processing/effects that kinda drag it down a tad bit, but not enough to ruin it because this is another great melodic USPM release from this band and a great follow up to their amazing debut. They get a bit heavier on this album, even delving into speed metal on songs like the title track.
