He kind of has a gravelly, remorseful voice akin to Louis Armstrong at times, and then can immediately switch to some weird bouncy electronic song and be super upbeat, and he does it weirdly well.
Gives me hope for German music
Let's address the elephant in the room: This dudes voice sounds a lot like Henning May and yes, some of the instrumentals and song writing techniques like the lyrics on "Wand" are pretty reminiscent of AnnenMayKantereit. Luckily, AnnenMayKantereit sucked lately, so I love that Ennio swooped in to pick up the pieces and deliver the unique and emotional touch that the band has lost.
