The Turtles are one of my favourite bands of the 60s, and for their 5th album they enlisted Ray Davies (of The Kinks) to produce, and to try and invoke the feelings and sounds of his recent masterpiece: “The Kinks Are The Village Green Preservation Society”. Now it just so happens that “Village Green” is my favourite album of all time, so of course I loved this album.
