Katabasis is a hypnotic post-rock album that stands out a little compared to some other post-rock releases I've heard recently. The way each track really takes its time is what does it for me, post-rock is supposed to be slow and meandering until you reach those loud climaxes, and Nightosphere did really well here. Went from not knowing about them, to being a huge fan in less than 24 hours.
They sound like a mixture between Swans/GY!BE and an at times slightly heavier style of indie rock, and kind of even post-punky at times (ex. this is why - paramore), and I love it, please check them out of you are even remotely interested in anything like that.
