A surrealist sci-fi dystopia. The spiritual successor to Loaded With Power, but even more lo-fi, distorted and warped beyond comprehension. Very likely the most lo-fi hip hop record ever made. The urge to call this one of the best hip-hop albums of the 1990s after ruthlessly cussing numerous 'masterpieces' of the genre is almost overpowering. It may just be pretension, but this album really demonstrates to me what I think hip-hop could be (And actually what it may be closer to in 2024), and appeals to me more than the endlessly slick and verbose albums that get a lot more attention.
