Not a bad set of songs, and Haggard still sounds fine. The whole thing is smoother than goddamn butter, and it all melts together. From start to finish, the entire thing sounds the same. This is more soft rock than a country album. Oh, to return to the honky tonk heaters...
You'd expect something better for his return to his original label, but I guess not.
