i wish i saw what everyone else sees in this but it’s just teezo singing a cover of the song over what sounds like the original instrumental?? his vocals aren’t rlly that impressive here and they sound way too high above the rest of the track
When I saw Teezo Touchdown listed on the Stop Making Sense cover album coming out later this year, I was a bit hesitant as it really was quite an oddball pick. His voice is very unique but that could very easily be the downfall of the song, but thankfully A24 knew which song was right for Teezo when they gifted him the very funky Making Flippy Floppy. Of course there's no way for me to give anything higher because it's like a copy almost, but the vocals are really good surprisingly even if its just a near perfect recreation of the instrumental
probably teezo's weakest single
i like it, but it just comes off as karaoke or something, especially considering it's just put on top of the original instrumental
i won't rate it though because i presume the instrumental choice was out of teezo's control and it feels a bit unfair to rate it lowly for that
