In another world I can see this being a 68 for me, the instrumental is less bleak than "Value" and actually has some color and Ado I like what's she doing at points on the song, like whatever she's doing from 1:27 to 1:32 do more of that PLEASE. I just don't like how everything sounds so compressed it ruins the song for me.
So...I'm not sure how to put this, exactly. I love Natori's funky, jazzy production a lot...but this isn't Ado's bag. She sings well on this song, and on her cover of Overdose (another Natori produced song,) but this sort of production doesn't play well to her strengths. Her strengths lie in her ability to switch her inflections and change the way she sings to add a layer of dynamism to her performances....but that's not really what I'm looking for in a song like this.
