Would’ve been so much better if the first half was cut, because the second half was actually pretty good. Jackboy actually grabs my attention with the second half, but the first half really got dragged down with the boring 2024 trap songs. Any new or interesting sound, elevates the album a lot, and I wish I heard more of it throughout majority of the album.
I think this is my first Jackboy project, I’ve heard some songs before and some of them I thought were solid. He really isn’t a special rapper, sort of a hybrid of Kodak Black and 42 Dugg. His beat selection is fairly generic. He commands some pretty notable features on this project such as 2 Chainz, Boosie, OMB Peezy, BabyDrill, and YFN Lucci. Overall, this project is better than I expected, but not something special or that I’d really return to besides a few of the bangers.
