Ethel really took a turn away from the main Americana flavored slowcore/country with this multifaceted drone-heavy EP. Perverts opens with the title track which launches you right into what makes Ethel so unique: her religious references. A distorted hymn is sung followed by a sparse drone and spoken word "mastrubator" which provides an interesting lyrical contrast from the pious hymn at the beginning.
