when talking trap music, don toliver is one of my favorites. i think the first half of this album is pretty good. however, it falls off when he tries to do like slow r and b. the first half of the album is listen to and think is fun, the second not really (except backstreets). overall, not bad. also, randomest samples ever on this.
favs: backstreets, kryptonite, tore up
least favs: last laugh, inside
this album is so fun. all of the songs lowk sound the same and they’re not the most musically intricate, but they’re still fun. i love singing along to them and dancing to them. i find myself returning to a bunch of the songs a lot. im excited to see what he makes next.
favs: sweet boy, mr. incorrect, earrings, roommates
least favs: new friends, rodrick rules
all of the songs sound the same, but they hit. megan is great at a certain type of rap song, but she never strays too far from it. i’d say this is the furthest. part of me thinks all the anime references are cool, part of me thinks they’re corny. overall, megan is still that girl, but only for one thing. the singles were def the highlights.
favs: boa, hiss, cobra
least favs: mamushi, find out
