This is a very fun song, it's one of the most enjoyable in the jerk genre too. Overall, it's a song I'm keen on re-listening to with a good vocal take and a crazy beat.
I know this is going to be controversial as there's literally a song titled "DIDDY FREE" on this album but I don't find the project bad as a whole.
Good parts:
"LONELY ROADS" has a very good performance from JAAS and a surprisingly well-crafted bridge from North West. "PEOPLE LIKE ME" has Kanye's best verse in a long time, not having any hate speech and flowing very well. "REPEAT ME" is another good song, being a fun R&B track. (Same ... read more
This song sounds exactly like "Love You Anymore", the chorus is better but it's just not original.
This song isn't that bad, it definitely takes a while to get used to though. The beat and chorus are pretty solid but it's way too short.
Another fun song, pretty good Ye verse. The hate for this one is very forced.
This is a very fun song with a good Kanye feature. Very overhated.
The mixtape has good production, especially from Yester but Twizzxrd's wasn't bad either. The melodic flows whre pretty good but honestly YhapoJJ's voice gets annoying after a while.
Pretty mediocre, I was honestly expecting worse. I was expecting delivery like "Frozen Based Freestyle Mixtape". However, that was not true, the delivery here was much better. (Not good, but still not horrible.) The microphone quality and the mixing weren't that bad here. There were definitely a few throwaway tracks here like "Lead Work" but generally not much bad. The production wasn't anything special whatsoever and honestly quite bland. Altogether, not an ... read more
Over-hated project. Really is not that bad, the mixing really depends. I had to do a tracklist review because it was such a weird project.
One Raindeer: 60; Horrible mixing but good lyrics and production
King on Xmas Eve: 42; After a minute it kind of loses me. There is like a dream sequence or something?
My Wishlist: 78; Good song, great Christmas spirit.
No Presents: 65; Another pretty good song.
Merry Xmas Lil B: 65; Another pretty good song.
Just a forgettable mixtape, I don't even classify this as a mixtape. It's more like a compilation as this project has no comprehension to it. None of the songs were placed in a way that makes the mixtape actually feel like a real project and not just a bunch of random throwaway songs. Some of the production isn't that bad but normally, it's just okay. Lil B's delivery on this project is so weak, that almost all the songs feel like Lil B didn't care and wanted to ... read more
It really isn't that good. For a Lil B EP, I was expecting a little bit better but it's not horrible. The promotional single and the song the project is named after "Where Did The Sun Go?" is not that great. Don't get me wrong it has amazing production and good lyrics but seven minutes with repetitive lyrics is way too long for a track like this, still cool but would've been better as an outro track. "The Pen" was a really good song, which I have no ... read more
Heavily underrated, has some pretty good vocals from 'B. The production is really good for the most part. The track "Can I Live 4real" is a banger but it sadly has the F-slur. In my opinion, it's an above-average "Flame" mixtape. Generally, it is a good short-ish mixtape.
-I also enjoy the album cover.
There is genuinely is no defending this one. The songs with vocals aren't that bad and sometimes good but that's where the good ends. After the 19th track, it is just instrumentals. You might think "Okay, but they can't be that bad..." they are. They all range from bad to unlistenable and there are like 80 of them.
-Would be a 55 without the instrumentals.
One of my personal favorites has some amazing verses. The instrumental songs are all mediocre but the songs where Lil B has vocals are all very solid. "Im Kanye" is almost perfect and has 'B's best production from the tape in my opinion. "Harry Potter" is funny and kind of wholesome (?). Altogether, this is a good mixtape with a funny theme.
