The wait was so worth it, J Cole shows up on this album heavy. Disc 29 takes us back to when Cole was hungry, the 2014 Forest Hills era, the rapping and lyricism is some of the best I’ve heard in a long time, disc 39 is a more chilled out cole rapping to his old self but man does he show up here too.
Freddie Gibbs brings out that 90’s grime style on top of The Alchemist’s smooth beats. Alfredo 1 was an amazing album in itself, and unlike most sequels, this one shows up just as good, if not better. Gibbs lyricism is incredible.
This is one of the greatest hip hop albums of all time. Kanye’s production and lyricism show why he’s a goat. On top of that, the features list is insanely stacked, with features from Jay-Z, Pusha T, Rick Ross, etc. Pusha-T’s feature on runaway is one of my favorite feature verses of all time.
This is one of my favorite projects I have ever heard. Theres a song for everyone on this album. It gives off a late night summer drive vibe, tory’s vocals along with production combines for a very good and unique spin on the 80s vibe.
