Very enjoyable, groovy tracks all around. Tell Me, Square One (oh and the remix by Glacier literally steps this song up so much from how great it already was), and Blind Faith are my favorite tracks in this album.
Absolutely lovely soundscape. While the title track Shadowtask is absolutely incredible 10/10 in every way, the other tracks do their due diligence in rounding out this project. I personally really like Clova a lot despite it having a much more relaxed, upbeat vibe. I come back to this project every now and then because it's just really solid.
No deadass this actually one of the best things that have come out of Disney and if you disagree you're wrong. I can't even say this is mostly fueled by nostalgia because the songs are just GOOD.
One of those Albums of All Time albums. Incredible production, incredible rnb vibes, vocals, and ideas sprinkled in here.
We absolutely love the free-flowing vibes of this project. This is raw, uncut Masego right here just giving us shit that he finds nice. Most of these songs are very catchy on top of that.
This song really got me going back in the day. Even though the lyrics are relatively vapid, I think the focus really was on the production here. The collab in the studio between Masego and Medasin is something that you can tell just by listening was made from pure fucking around and having great jam sessions. Masego plays a very funny character here and again while a lot of the lyrics can be vapid they're just funny to listen. The whole project is pretty lighthearted in that respect. An incredible showcase of why I like Lophiille as one of my favorite producers. His style rubs me all the right ways. Solid songs all around.
Genuinely disappointed by the User Score on this one. I understand it's a rather large tonal shift from Daniel Caesar but after letting this one marinate it's such a good album to digest. The laid-back, pensive, simple, yet groovy vibes running throughout this album are gonna keep it in all my rnb related playlists.
One of the first albums that really showed what incredible production and mixing sounds like on an EDM project. The raw goodness this EP holds is great. It blends so many unique sounds, acoustic and otherwise, incredibly well. Work of art.
Sleeper hit. Very enjoyable EDM songs with a retro vibe. If you like older gamer EDM, you'll love this. It also features some ambient tracks that create very nice soundscapes.
I absolutely love this album and it's the kinda EDM I wish I had more of. It makes me desperately want a new project from Electric Mantis but at this rate in the year of our lord 2023 it looks like it'll never happen. The sound design, use of space, details, and incredible future bass vibes are so wonderful in every aspect. The only song that fell flat for me was Rose City only because it was quite repetitive. Otherwise I'm in love with the soundscape this project creates. It's so unique.

Definitely a project that showcases just how experimental this EP was for Slippy. Only 2/5 songs really hit nicely and those two are 'Show Me' and 'Chosen.' Chosen definitely sounds very derivitve from his song 'Monster' because it's got all the same formula and similar sounds. Even the choice of the rapping style is very similar. Besides that all the other songs are just mediocre or annoying to listen to. Never Know sounds very weak in comparison to most of the songs. Speaker is annoying to ... read more
Soft spot for Pentatonix because I adore all of their musical talent. Seems like an unpopular to like this group for some reason but I beg to differ. Despite losing one of their most beloved Bassists, Matt fills the gap from Avi quite well and in his own well. I absolutely loved the features with excellent vocalists like Kelly Clarkson on 'Grown-Up Christmas' and Marren Morris on 'When You Believe.' All these songs covered from popular Christmas songs simply bring new life to old classics and ... read more
One of my favorite albums of all time and it'll stay that way for a while. This song cemented the keystone to my favorite playlist with Masego's pure creativity, always-interesting production, and fun vocals. Always, he's got the smooth rnb vibes going and we absolutely love to see it. The intro with 'Silk...' preps my heart for the vibes of this album and the transitions into 'I Had A Vision' melts me even more. I'm a sucker for transitions and only wish he did more of them in this album. This ... read more
This album for me personally had been long awaited. I had no idea how long it would be before Kubbi released another project since I found Ember. I can kindly say the worth was well worth it as he breathes new life into his projects with this mature LP. Not all the songs I would've liked, but songs like Wake, Spiritdancer, and Cold Snap have this new maturity that adds to the creativity and catchiness of the previous album. I'm heavily biased with this one but I loved the album.
