This album is loud enough to kill a victorian child

Sweet Trip's debut album presented them as more ambient and electronic than shoegaze. The seven songs on don't grab your attention as quickly as those on later albums. Here, they take their time to build up, which is why all of them, except for "Starlife" (a measly 3:47 for comparison), sprawl well beyond the 6-, 7-, and even 10-minute mark. The end result though is a dreamy and immersive listen that is easy to melt into and lose track of time.

I know that this guy was kinda controversial but this song really does hit hard, it's so simple but so sad and somehow comforting all at the same time :(

I really wonder what the cyan lollipop in the cover tastes like
