LEVEL SELECT

A very promising project that overstays its welcome. There is some really cool production here, especially on songs like 'Level Select', 'GLACIER ZONE', and 'Emotion Engine'. The atmospheric textures and cyberspace inspired melodies fit well with the interesting drum breaks that switch up occasionally. But most of these songs have no business being as long as they are.

The only track that really works well with the extensive runtime is 'Level Select' because of its occasional drum pattern switch ups. Everything else could've easily been two minutes. The worst song to get the extensive treatment is easily 'Shadow Moses'. Both because of its annoying use of the Metal Gear Solid sample and because the production isn't nearly as interesting to warrant almost five minutes.

Otherwise, Level Select is a decent project. There's just too much fat and filler on its very interesting skeleton.
