Gaby Amarantos - ROCK DOIDO
89

100

Truly felt like a religious experience.

Rosalía has a rare quality that only a handful of artists possess. Some people are talented, others simply love making art, but there are those few who were born for it. I truly believe this is the only thing Rosalía could ever be- she just lives and breathes art.

This album is beyond incredible and impressive. Even after El Mal Querer and Motomami (btw, two of my favorite albums of all time) she continues to push boundaries and reinvent ... read more

Rochelle Jordan - Through The Wall
90

Through The Wall is chic, elegant, sophisticated and delicious as an expensive dinner at a michelin-starred restaurant, yet as electrifying as a dancefloor explosion of infectious fun.

It’s cohesive, atmospheric, and effortlessly earpleasing. There are virtually no weak moments, and it flows beautifully from start to finish, though at times it feels more like a playlist than a sharply defined narrative. Still, it’s an outstanding album that you just tune in and let it consume you.

Bad Bunny - DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS
83

Zara Larsson - Midnight Sun
75

Midnight Sun is fun, sexy and carefree. It is full of bops that feel nostalgic and make me feel like a happy teenager again, listening to the radio on a hot afternoon, out with my friends, laughing and playing.

Zara’s vocals are just insane; she’s such an amazing performer and interpreter. The album absolutely delivers on what it sets out to do. Midnight Sun and Hot & Sexy are the epitome of fun, while The Ambition and Saturn’s Return stand out as the most personal ... read more

JADE - THAT'S SHOWBIZ BABY!
86

Really good pop music... and I truly believe she can do even better. Jade is one of the most interesting artists on the pop scene right now, and you can tell she has the heart of a popstar.

That’s Showbiz, Baby! is a straight-up awesome album. My only wish is that the tracklist felt a bit more intentional as some songs could be placed better or curated differently. It’s not as cohesive as it could be, but still, I kind of blame the label for that- I know they insisted on putting ... read more

Ana Castela - Let’s Go Rodeo

KATSEYE - BEAUTIFUL CHAOS

They are so cool and interesting, really hope they start making better music in the future... but it was kinda fun

PinkPantheress - Fancy That

75 -> 85

This is like, just way too fun.

Marina Sena - Coisas Naturais
92

Lady Gaga - MAYHEM
83

I avoided listening to this album for a long time because I was at her Copacabana show and it was so fucking insanely good it gave me a huge whiplash. That performance was otherworldly. This woman is just so, so good at what she does… it’s actually unbelievable.

The album itself is very Gaga: theatrical, bold, chaotic in the best way. It carries her essence completely and reminds me why she’s such a singular artist. The first five tracks are an absolutely incredible run; ... read more

FKA twigs - EUSEXUA
95

Like wow. This is transcendental, beautiful, full of life. I have only good things to say.

The production is rich, the lyrics fantastic, the themes deeply and carefully explored. Her vocals are always on point. The worldbuilding and sense of aesthetic are original and captivating. Twigs might be one of the most underappreciated artists of our time: a full-on artist whose vision and craft are truly one of a kind.

The album flows so fucking well. Each track feels dynamic and ever-changing, ... read more

Urias - CARRANCA

ARTISTA!

Apenas orgulho. ... read more

Son Of Cloud - Son of Cloud
85

I really wish more people knew about this album. I’ve only seen Son of Cloud's one Spotify picture and don’t really know anything about him, but it’s clear he has poured his heart into this self-titled album. It’s all about love, and he expresses it in such a genuine way. His singing and songwriting for me resonate with emotions that few artists can capture.

I first discovered this album through a dodie cover back in 2019, and I keep coming back to it. It evokes so ... read more

Ethel Cain - Perverts
70

Really, no one does it like her. This piece does exactly what it’s supposed to: it’s both incredibly impressive and deeply disturbing. For me, it triggers panic and a flood of emotions, especially paranoia. I can’t or want to listen to it often, but when I do, I’m always stunned by how deeply she makes me feel. It’s definitely not for me (panic attacks and headaches in “Pulldrone,” always), but I genuinely admire it. Every time I finish listening, I ... read more

Lorde - Virgin
95

After listening to Virgin over 50 times, I feel like now I might be able to do it justice in this review. Wow, that was amazing. What an experience that grows and grows with each listen.

First of all, the negatives: it’s a bit too short, maybe too short for an artist that only releases every other 4 years. Some songs feel like they could have gone way longer while still maintaining itself captivating. And that’s it. Haha.
I really loved this. Every song already has a special place ... read more

Lorde - Melodrama
100

Melodrama is my favorite album of all time.

Of course it would be the very first thing I rate and review here and of course it would be 100. Look, yeah, maybe I'm a little biased. But damn, this is the best thing I have ever heard. The raw emotion, the production, the ad libs and tiny sonic details, the synths, the vocal layering jumping from ear to ear, the FUCKING LYRICISM.

To me, this album is what it feels like to be a young adult with all the ups and downs, the loss and ... read more
