This is evidence of the band's growth and skill; their explosive intensity and adventurous soundscapes defy the allegation that they are stagnating. Its opponents may write it off as cheesy or gaudy, but I'm amazed at the boldness and intensity of feeling in each song. Hits like "Butterflies and Hurricanes" show how well the record combines a variety of inspirations, from RATM's raw intensity to Queen's grandeur.
