Since it's clear that this album is not cohesive at all, it has great songs which I do enjoy a lot. The sound reminds me of her last two albums but at the time it feels new. I would've loved if she actually added "My Oh My" and "Spot a Fake" to this because they really fit in very well. I'm sorry Ava, but I will be clicking play!
Even though the critics aren't that good, this is a dance album which is probably something that we haven't heard from Katy ever. A happy and danceable album. I'm not going to talk about the producer controversy since I consider that nowadays she could've gotten someone else. For me, the second half of the album is extremely good.
1989 was already a great album. 1989 (Taylor's Version) features more mature vocals which increases its quality also includes some vault tracks which makes it close to perfect.
This is just another proof of the powers that Taylor has writing. Thank you Taylor for giving us an album that combines the sound and lyrics from folklore and the energy of Midnights.
