For the first time, Pearl Jam show us a softer version of their sound. This album may represent a virtuous attempt of evolving the band sound to a specific direction. Personally, I don't think that they had benefit of any kind in this transition. While containing some good songs, for the most part this work is pretty much forgettable and skippable: the main problem, I fear, is that it sounds too generic. I cannot say it is a bad work though, over the average for sure.
