Over-hated album, as a standalone album, within the two released vultures albums, this is the better one easily. But, in the terms of Kanye's discography, it doesn't stand out. The album is good on its own, the use of ty dollar signs vocals made the songs even better, but Kanye's verses aren't the best. In the whole scope, V1 feels like a generic rap album on in a discography of great albums, but works as a good new age album on its own.
I don't get the hate this album gets, I can see some hate due to the mixing not being the best, but it has aged well. The songs work well, the blend between slower and heavier songs works well, plus the more experimental songs like CHERRY BOMB are amazing. The only song that is skippable within this album is Keep Da O's imo. This should be regarded as one of the best, if not the best Tyler The Creator albums in my own opinion. Don't knock it until you try it.
