pretty cool record, a lot of nice sweeping moments. great production and vocals obviously, really creative and subtle at times
probably one of the best recent electropop albums, consistently brings the energy with banging instrumentals and great vocals. however the first half is noticeably better than the second, 101 basketball and bitch ball out are like the only "duds" on the tracklist for me. still really enjoy listening to this and a lot of these songs have gotten stuck in my head since hearing them lol
if i go to canada does it sound like this cause that would be awesome i think
was really impressed by this. great production throughout, i love the moody atmosphere and the whole thing feels fully realized and intentional. vocals and lyrics are solid too
really great indie energy throughout, love the lead singer's voice and how it meshes with both the cozier songs and the more rock-centric ones. the track run of rewind, shady and dior is insane
i listened to london's saviour the day before this came out and i really enjoyed it, and i think this is an overall improvement and expansion on that sound. the entire album does a good job of feeling like a fully constructed world and it has a very distinct, unique style. i saw one tweet that said the way his vocals are mixed make him sound like a swarm of bees and i've been giggling at it for a little while because that's the most accurate description ever. the spoken word ... read more
it's alright but compared to his past work it's kind of a crazy step down. peggy uses basically the same triplet flow on almost every song talking about the same things over and over again without much substance. as for the music itself there are some truly experimental moments (money, meet the dealers, yen) but most of it feels like stuff peggy has already done before. there is still some artistry on display here but it just makes me want to go listen to peggy's other albums.
solid batch of tracks, unmusique clears but this sounds like a whole contained world and i like it
super mesmerizing, did 2 full listens and it felt like i was in another dimension. this and the heavensouls album are 2 of the most creative i've heard this year
i've gotten super attached to these tracks over the past year. all the sampling is done so well and it forges its own distinct style and sound out of all these different songs. not a single miss in the entire tracklist. absolute peak
very surprised by this. so intricately arranged and performed and it feels like it came from some far off fantasy land. the first track especially is breathtaking and immediately draws you in. so many beautiful jaw-dropping moments throughout. one of the best this year for sure.
very important album. it's a bit disjointed and doesn't keep momentum super well but i really like the production, vocals, and themes. plenty of hits and breathtaking moments
pretty decent record, none of the songs have really stuck for me yet but i think it's well made and nice
