I'm really surprised by myself that I forgot to give this album a review when I first heard it because this is some of the best music I've heard in a while. This is honestly just one of the most fun albums I've heard in recent memory. It's all energy, and it's best enjoyed moving, which is really what Tyler wanted with this album. There isn't that much emotional punch to any song, unlike recent albums like Chromakopia, but this isn't trying to be that. Honestly, it's just a longer I Lay Down My Life For You. There's an intro, and there's CULT STATUS which is one of Peggy's best songs and no one can argue with me on that. Not everything is as good as the real album but it's not like I regret having listened to it. Let's just keep it at the rating I had given it.

The most surprising thing about this surprise album is how fun it really is. This short and concise project by Kendrick is by all accounts his 4th victory lap this year. It is a braggadocious album heavily inspired by west coast hip-hop. It is not like a TPAB or MMATBS, where it is some incredible introspective and conscious album that tells a story with a message.
