Superb album, Manowar at their greatest! All of the songs are stunning and I don't mind Black Arrows, Joey's bass solo, it kind of suits the mood of the album. I still remember getting this LP when I was at school in the late 80's (someone had done an order for several of us for various albums and this was mine along with Into Glory Ride).
The stand-out songs are Blood of my Enemies, Each Dawn I Die, Kill with Power and Hail to England - all epic and have to be sung along to, esp in a live ... read more

Adrian Boult - The Planets

This recording of The Planets by Sir Adrian Boult is the version I grew up with and is still my favourite today. This is one of the pieces of music that began my love of music many years ago. My parents aren't particularly into music but this LP was one of the few they did have and I listened to it often.
The performance of Mars feels epic and paced perfectly, building tension up to the crescendo without rushing through it. It's a shame when conductors race through Mars, it loses its sense of ... read more
