a beautiful album which feels very reminiscent of their earlier days, and some of my personal favourite periods of release. absolutely loved the increase in screams in this record, and a lot of them felt utterly covered in emotion that just enhanced the listening experience for me. huge fan of the heavier songs too, and the whole vibe of the contract. little filler, beautiful callbacks to hds, truce in the final song and ‘entertain my faith’ also had me in goosebumps. a stellar ... read more
the atmospheric vibes on this album are some for the books, with this being the first starset album to separate the interlude from the tracks. whilst some do feel a bit disjointed, the further into the album the better the transition. i think this album has some brilliant songs, and my god they know how to do a cover. very strong and simply gorgeous
faves: dystopia, toksik, ad astra, shattered dreams
Gave this one a go after having “shallow” recommended to me by the spotify algorithm and loving it. Overall it was pretty up and down with some gems in there, defo thought (for the most part) that the second half of the album picked up. a bit inconsistent but some nice vocals
faves: shallow, omen, wasted, reasons
an interesting listen for sure, and i’ll start by saying i’m sure it would resonate more with straight listeners, however it did miss a lot for me. there were elements of fun, whimsy and i do think a woman openly discussing sex in songs is something that should not be torn down or used against her, as think of the amount of male artists that spout vulgar things about women. this genre personally doesn’t to it for me but there were a few absolute gems in here that i will ... read more
this was a Thoroughly Enjoyable project, i really really liked this. amazing pacing, stunning vocals and exactly the kinda album ive been needing to add to this years releases. couldnt stop smiling and dancing along and thats how you know its a stellar performance. there were a few slightly weaker links within this project However that really didnt take away much from the overall impact of the album and how this has firmly entered my on repeat!!!

an interesting listen. the last three songs was an amazing run and really saved this album for me, but i feel like in parts there is a strong lack of direction and cohesion both within the songs and between them. i tried so hard to get into this but the blending just wasnt there, the genre switchups felt disjointed a lot of the time as did the pace changes. HOWEVER, the talent instrumentally and vocally is all there! absolutely gorgeous vocals and indane talent and i loved the sound of that, it ... read more
ill be honest. i have Loved halestorm for years now but this project is missing something for me. some absolute brilliant songs on here though and lzzy defo suits a slower song, but some parts of this album lack a bit of energy and cohesion for me. lzzys vocals and instrumentation throughout were insanely good, and without doubt an amazing attempt it just missed slightly for me. everest is some song though wow
faves: like a woman can, everest, broken doll, WATCH OUT
i mean its fine - nothing offensive it just needs something more and i really hope that something is found soon
i LOVE IT WHEN GAY PEOPLE DO MUSIC !!!! some absolutely gorgeous songs on here, a beautiful mix of upbeat pop girly with some gorgeous slower songs too. the vocal talent of renee is absolutely incredible, i will forever be in awe of her talent. vocally stunning, instrumentally groovy and defo something for everyone on here!
faves: leave me alone, why is she still here, youd like that wouldnt you
thoroughly enjoyed this one. takes a wee second to get going, but genuinely one of the strongest midsections of 2025. what a stellar lineup, brilliant sound and super fun to listen to. at 28 mins the pacing was incredible, making it a truly class listening experience.
faves: now and at the hour of our death, chain breaker, oh what a wretched man i am!, monochromatic
the “hot to go like chappel roan” line itches my brain a lot. flow cringes me out at times but in all honesty not terrible. cant believe this man is pushing 40
edit : ive listened to it that much i unironically enjoy it fair enough swags
damn near perfect. one of my favourite releases from LP and a beautiful demonstration of chesters undeniably insane vocal talent and some really slay lyricism. i have no complaints, it is a stunning album. defo a hallmark for me and id imagine so many others
faves: lying from you, faint, breaking the habit, somewhere i belong
i very much enjoyed the vibe of this album, a surprising release but defo has some sounds of the summer. a very interesting listen with a few misses but a lot of songs i will defo return to. the beats were particularly fun and had me bopping about, slayed
favs: big poe, dont tap that glass / tweakin
took me five listens to gather my thoughts. grows into itself after the first chorus, the intro takes a bit to get itself going. not bad
so convinced the original vocals were just copy pasted over the piano
keshas first album as an independent artist was certainly a ride. freedom actually left me with goosebumps, the first two mins and the chorus in it was gorgeous. the first half (excluding that yipee ki yay one that was the lowest this album got) was actually very consistently good and i was very impressed. unfortunately i felt the second half did lack the energy that the first did and a lot felt like filler, but overall a pretty slay listen for a summer afternoon.
faves: red flag, freedom
this was very enjoyable. lorde is a very nostalgic artist for me and i loved her in 2013, so returning to her discography was a very welcomed surprise. “virgin” is absolutely stunning, instrumentally interesting and lyrically very clever at points. i was very surprised with how much i grooved with this and this style really helps express her vocal talent!! big fan tbis slayed
faves: favourite daughter, broken glass, current affairs
not awful by any means, i just dont think it did much for me. the end of the album picks up very nicely, with “to regret” and the title track being the highlights for me. pretty calming sounds but nothing overly exciting im afraid.
and the less said about finger the better.
