It's the best they've released this year — but still a far cry from what aespa used to be.
Surprisingly solid, love the production and overall sonic direction CHAEYOUNG went with her debut album.
Am I deaf because I only heard an electric guitar TWICE on the opening track "Rich Man" and closing track "To The Girls".
You CANNOT have a guitar pick with an electric guitar and a rock-stylized logo as your album cover or pretty much an ENTIRE ROCK themed promotion and ONLY have that sound on the opening and closing track. I usually listen to albums thrice before rating them, but I think I already have my verdict on this one, and it isn't good. I think this is their ... read more
I love the energy that YOUNG POSSE brings to this EP, as well as some cool production, especially on "MON3Y 8ANK" with the C.R.E.A.M. sample. However, the structure of many of the tracks on this album tends to fall apart, or outright devolves into a sonic mess.
I love the electric guitar era/sound that YUJU is adapting; however, I feel that all the tracks in this EP still leave a lot to be desired. Her vocal performances carry a lot of the project, and the feature from Jeong Sewoon was solid as well.

(also i forgot to note, the guitar riff for REPLY reminds me of the beat of Over by Playboi Carti, and I swear one of the other tracks sounds like an interpolation of something but I can't remember lmao)

That sentence is something that has stuck in my mind ever since viewing that post. I was somewhat excited for this group because one of it's members, Bailey Sok is one of my favorite dancers, watching her occasionally on ... read more
VIVIZ is back after 8 months since their last EP (VOYAGE) with their first full album, consisting of 9 tracks, 3 of them solo cuts, and clocking in right before the 27-minute mark.
While I think 'A Montage of ( )' doesn't really usher in a new era for VIVIZ sonically, I think instead it refines the sound that have built since their debut.
I think a strong point on this album was the production, especially on tracks like La La Love Me, Hands Off My Heart, Citrus and Toxic. The ... read more
Although this album has been out since may, i've only just discovered it now, and i've been listening to a ton over the past 2 weeks so i thought i'd write my thoughts on it
<Dall> is easily one of, if not my favorite k-pop album i've ever heard. it's up there with f(x)'s "4 Walls" and "Pink Tape" for me. I usually only listen to GG k-pop tunes, so idk too much about BG music outside of BTS. Just a sidenote, I mainly listen to Hip-Hop but ... read more
