………..
This is definitely an album I gotta come back to for another listen in a couple days or so.
I truly enjoyed frailty, loved that glitchy feel to it all and felt that she was definitely one of the better hyperpop artists out. I’ve loved her other works, such as the mash ups under the leroy alias, and the song she was featured on the recent Underscores album was incredible, but for whatever reason this really didn’t reach me like some of those other bodies of work.
The themes she delves into are very real, and often super dark and intimate, and I think this is really where this album shines, as it comes through vividly and with this intense emotion. Where it sort of drifted off for me a bit was just the production and my perceived lack of real distinction between track to track, and even if that were something that shouldn’t be a problem, there wasn’t really anything that stood out to me about any or all of them.
Again, will definitely be revisiting this at least once, and I hope (also I kinda think), that this will only heavily grow on me as time passes.
Edit :
Thoughts generally unchanged unfortunately
