Tame Impala is largely responsible for getting me involved in music, and I have a lot to thank him for. This is my list of all of his studio albums ranked from 1-5. Generally, he is a pretty consistent artist all things considered, and definitely one of the best in the psychedelic genre right now. After Deadbeat, I would consider Kevin's discography to be crisp 85/100 so far.

Currents is truly Kevin's magnum opus, and I don't think itll ever be topped. I cant describe the feeling of listening to New Person, Same Old Mistakes for the first time. For months that song was my favorite of all time until I discovered other bands; however, NPSOW is still one of the greatest. Also, if you include the B-sides to this album, it would be even better. Powerlines, Taxi's Here, and List of People all add to the greatness of this album.

2. Let it Happen
3. Yes I'm Changing
4. Love/Paranoia
5. Reality In Motion

If you listen to this album after Kevin's later stuff, it makes you really appreciate where he started. He still has his psychedlic spin that he is famous for, but innerspeaker incorporates heavy alt and indie rock into its beats and rhythms. Fantastic debut from Kevin and one of my favorites. This album also holds some of Kevin's most bold experimentations like Runaway Houses City Clouds, and I hope that he might revisit that style in future albums.

2. Runaway Houses City Clouds
3. Solitude is Bliss
4. Expectation
5. The Bold Arrow of Time

Lonerism is a beloved album in the Kev community, and for good reason. A lot of the foundational stuff that is in InnerSpeaker remains in Lonerism, and Kevin improves on some and regresses a little on others (imo). Lonerism holds some of his biggest highs and one of his lowest lows.... be above it..... Nevertheless, another very solid addition to Kevin's discography. I hope that deadbeat is a bit of a reminder of what direction to head in for his next LP, if he is going to release another one.
1. Mind Mischief
2. Elephant
3. Led Zeppelin
4. Apocalypse Dreams
5. Keep On Lying

Bit of an underrated album in the Kev community. I think it is much better than what people make it out to be. Though currents is undoubtedly better, I think The Slow Rush is Kevins best thematic album, about the passage of time. Also, album cover is peak. Slow Rush can try a little too hard, but sometimes also too little at times. Obviously, Kevin has made it apparent several times that he tries not to mirror any styles he had in previous albums, and he does it well again as Slow Rush feels different enough from Currents.
1. One More Year
2. Borderline
3. Posthumous Forgiveness
4. It Might Be Time
5. One More Hour

When I first listened to this album, i rated it an 8/10, and that has honestly gone down a lot since I listened to it. Deadbeat falls short on many instances, and features a pretty terrible song Ethereal Connection. In most of Kevins "bad" songs I was just unimpressed or a little bored, but this one was actually terrible. Deadbeat still has some great tracks and overall is an above average album when considering all the other albums that have ever been released in the history of music, but as a Tame Impala album, it aint it.
1. Dracula
2. Afterthought
3. Loser
4. Oblivion
5. End of Summer
