Epstein probably played J Cole to make the kids fall asleep on the flight to the island
This is just like weezy again but with a lil baby verse and some vocals from schooly. It also might be the best song any of those 3 guys put out this year. Hearing Lil Baby on this makes me realise that his voice works a lot better when it's on fun, high energy beats rather than the dark trap sludge he's known for
cashgrab to get fans to listen to an album that came and went for a second time
It's kinda funny how the era of trap this album is calling back to already sounded so much like luigis mansion music that sematary's gimmick barely even registers. October country is probably better from an artistic standpoint but this tape is fun af, even if it does fall off towards the end
would be a 10 but chief keef gives a weak verse at the start so gnar can use his name for clout and then dips. had this been a solo song or had a more substantial feature verse this would be a 100
icedancer if it was good
serious review: a very enjoyable project, has a lot of elements of every style to come out of cloud rap from the 2010s up until this album's release.
This would be a great tape if it wasnt for the mix/master. idk what happened but on streaming a decent chunk of the tracks are wayyy too quiet. If it wasn't for this discrepancy I'd say every track but OMG is at least good, with Hot Boyz, Bricks, Stoner 2 Times and Siblings all being bangers
Key Glock is the definition of a work horse in hip-hop. Pure consistency with few thrills or gimmicks, just pure, uncut trap with a signature Memphis cadence. I don't go back purposely to every song on this project, but I'm never disappointed if a track happens to pop up on shuffle
If I had a time machine I would go back to the 90s and ban rappers from adding skits of them having sex to the tracklist
I am going to hack jane's laptop and delete that glass breaking sound effect from their hard drive
It's an earl album. Your experience with this album is based entirely on how you feel about his previous work. Lyrically it explores some newer ground, but sonically it's what you'd expect from earl at this point
Nothing amazing here, but a strong rage album that was probably one of the first to really solidify the effect WLR had on the trap scene. You can probably do without the latter half of the album after first listen as they mostly feel like weaker versions of what trippie was doing on the first half. Not too proud to admit the drake feature is my favourite track on the project
if they wanted to make a true "best of nas" they would have just re-printed illmatic
Hit Em Up for the modern era. A diss track that is primarily carries by a sense of burning hatred despite the majority of the lines being pretty mediocre. YB sounds like he's genuinely experiencing a mental breakdown at parts of this track, barely clinging on to the beat as he lashes out at anybody he perceives to have slighted him
who got this white boy on the chief keef type beat
this was really good but you guys are smoking crack if you think it's a 90 or above
