Songs that should be excluded from any review of this album are as follows:
- Handshakes With Snakes: actually good song, came out in 2023. Reminds me of when Oliver Tree put his song Alien Boy on every major release leading up to his debut album. A good song, lazy ass inclusion.
- Bite Your Tongue: its ok i guess, but it came out in 2023
- Dog Pack: dude this song sucks, but more importantly came out in 2024
- America's Rejects: honestly the second half of this song is a banger, too bad ... read more

I have learned that music is great when it distracts you from what you are going on about and pulls you in to its experience. This album did not do that for me.

Nothing God-awful, but nothing interesting. Safe at best, a decent first album for someone who's never listened to metalcore.

Edit: at least they didn't release exactly half the songs as singles, a nice touch. I still remember when they dropped Dark Skies, it felt like i barely had an album to experience.

Obscenely heavy Deathcore with a production value that reminds me of Magdalena Bay. This album feels fresh, creative, and radiates pure unapologetic anger in a way i haven't seen in years. What a treat

While not every song on EXTRACTION pushes the sonic boundaries of deathcore, Larcenia Roe continues to innovate and improve at an alarming rate. This is a great album without any skips, just tracks to shake your ass and crowdkill your cats to. The Alex Koehler feature on Calcium Closet goes my top 5 all time favorite features.

Like many others, I went into this after watching jschlatt's video on YouTube detailing how this was all put together: licensing the music, collaborating with Blues Brothers saxophonist Tom Scott to score the album, then spending what seemed to have been a grueling week for Mr. Jebediah Schlatt recording vocals in a studio that home artists could only dream of. All of this to ask one question: does this album hold up when compared to his idols that he was influenced by?

You bet your sweet ... read more
