OK, wow!

First off, I think this album really works. I really like the way Jennie incorporates these different genres or sounds into the album, and most of the songs really really works for me! There's a lot of rap and R&B influences, along with some pop and a bit of dance in certain moments that I did not expect to coincide as well as they did.

I think the first half works a lot better in terms of Jennie trying new things with her music, and for a while, it all really worked for me. And while I still really enjoy and like this album, unfortunately I do believe that the last few tracks are a tad weaker. None of the songs are necessarily bad, but the difference in quality with these songs is quite apparent as some of the verses or lyrics feel like placements in a demo for better lyrics when going back and writing again. They almost sound like early versions of songs where the melodies and the ideas are there, but the lyrics haven't matured quite yet.

I really do think this album works for me, and for a second there this was nonstop hit after hit. I do think that the project unfortunately suffers from a weak ending that perhaps could've been polished a bit more.

That being said, I still really enjoy the project and none of the songs on this we're bad in my opinion, just a little underwhelming after such a strong first half. The dip in quality really doesn't occur until after FTS, and that's 12 songs into the project. So I would overall recommend it.
