not sure why i didn't listen to this sooner, only decided to give it a listen because people were talking about the taylor charli alleged diss songs, and taylor's album sucks so i thought I'd see what it was like on the other side of the river. it's great over here, think I'll stay a while.

while i like lola, i think she has had stronger music before. i enjoy how she tells a story and i like that i feel like i'm just listening to a girl sit down with some music and talk about something, but i enjoy the ones most where it picks up a little around the chorus to emphasise her emotions. the second half of the album is a lot slower and i think some of her songs really shined with some cool mixes and i'd love to hear a bit more of that similar to her last album. overall, good ... read more

this is my first introduction to lola and so far she is leaving a great impression. her voice is quite distinctive and i love how it kind of feels like she re-wrote pop for this album. the way that every song just sounds like hers is really cool, i don't feel like i'm listening to yet another wannabe young pop artist. the first half of the album is stronger than the second half but i really think she has potential to be the next upcoming artist. i'll be here for her next release, ... read more
