Nearly 4 years after Smithereens, this was the best Joji could do? Out of 21 tracks, only one is over 3 minutes. Even the filler tracks in Nectar had more substance than 80% of this album. A majority of this album just feels unfinished, with tracks cutting off before they could develop into something interesting. Every song sounds exactly the same as the last one. Same synth preset playing the same 4 note progression in every single song. Annoying and unintelligible vocals with lyrics that try too hard to sound deep. What's the point of having a Danny Brown feature if I can't even hear him through this overblown production? Terrible, repetitive EP with no redeeming qualities.
