alright what the fuck happened. at least the part at the end is kinda decent
first off, im really proud of my buddy ace for putting all this together. i honestly did not expect it to be this good when she sent it to me, so i was honestly pleasantly surprised
there is not much criticism i can give this project. its very short and very concise, even for an ep. i found some parts to be a fair bit better than others though, mainly the first few minutes of the ep, which genuinely impressed me. the sampling work is consistent throughout, but it definitely shines on ... read more
warning: this review is all about ME and ME ONLY... 99% of it is talking about my experience with it and 1% of the actual music
if youre a real one you know i was obsessed over this album at two different points in my life, with the first being all the way back in 2018. as a matter of fact, this is the first ever radiohead album i listened to. before i decided to really tap into to music on my own, i, for the most part, just listened to whatever my mom did. and while that trend still continues ... read more
the more i come back to this game series the more i realize this might be the best soundtrack in any game ever (prequel included)
no words. i was not prepared for that ending. elucid has saved 2025. if only this dropped this year. definitely his best sound collage focused work to date. overall incredible
ill never understand how the best song on this album (blood creepin) is the lowest rated excluding the instrumentals
i like this talk talk a lot better than charli xcx's... either way im a little blinded by nostalgia cuz my mom played some songs from this album a lot when i was younger, namely talk talk and mirror man. other than that its alright but i cant believe this is the same band that made laughing stock
my masterpiece is out... please go listen!!!!!!!!!!
edit: it’s time i drop an actual review on this one. if you know me, this is the only album under the dj don agge alias i actually gas up, and it’s for good reason. everything else under this alias, which was released during what i like to call the 'gormless era,' doesn’t compare in quality to this
to properly understand the meaning of this album, we have to look at the original vision for dj don agge. it was ... read more
i might do a proper review on this in the future but i want to mention how long ive been underappreciating this album for. i listened to this in mid 2019, basically right in the beginning of my music journey, and i couldnt comprehend its praise at the time. this led to me seeing this album through a blurred lens for years, thinking my naive perception of it would never change. however, i finally gave it a proper listen around a year ago, and since then it has steadily grown on me and now sits ... read more
theres so much i respect about this album: its significance to the LGBTQ community, impressive production, the fact it dropped on my second birthday, and of course, the music itself—some of the best and most innovative house music ive ever heard. im very impressed
rewriting my review because my thoughts have completely changed
i first discovered sajjanu through tzadik about 2 years ago. in the middle of me discovering them and later rediscovering them, i have gained a huge appreciation for math rock, specifically brutal prog. at first, i didnt like this album. didnt like it. dont wanna talk about it. i was wrong, okay? however, a year later i decided to relisten because if john zorns brutal prog stuff grew on me, this would too, right? and well... YEP! ... read more
unfortunately this goes mostly unnoticed amongst the few sajjanu fans i know. admittedly, im also a victim of hyping pechiku!! and trauma13—both incredible albums—over this one, but i have to mention at some point that this is not that much "worse" than those albums. sajjanu is seriously one of my favourite bands of all time, and in my opinion THE most underrated band of all time, so much so an album thats a 8/10 for me gets overshadowed by better ones. i honestly dont ... read more
cant call this a "worse" pechiku!! but its definitely interesting that it shows how much they evolved in such a short amount of time, dropping one of my favourite albums ever just a year later. although i must say there are parts of this demo i actually prefer over pechiku!!, like some parts of shinachiku spuit and city hotel sasazuka. but at the end of the day, this is just pechiku!! with slightly worse production (which isnt necessarily bad, in fact it just enhances the punky and ... read more
