Thoroughly enjoyable for its runtime, but I can only give so much credit to a 10-minute project with skits. I especially wish Einstein Kitchen was longer, as it has great WWCD vibes, but Gunn only raps for like 45 seconds.
This is pretty great! Chase's flows are catchy as hell and the production has so much attention-to-detail. Chase Bank is a damn-near perfect song as far as I'm concerned, and Illegally Blonde and Like Me are just booming hits. The only songs that I feel miss the mark are Detour and Bands On Me, mainly due to the comparatively bland production. The Ays and the bed-creaking just feel forced.
This project is so much fun to listen to. Every song is a banger and Sexyy Red just says the most outlandish shit.
"I might send you the location and let you pull up
You just better not tеll my baby daddy
Cuz he gon' leave you leakin' in a alley"
She's so nonchalant that every punchline catches you off guard.
As someone who came into this album as a big Danny Brown fan and whose most listened album last year was A Great Chaos, this project is awesome! It goes hard as hell, but is far more authentic than mainstream rage. With its romantic themes and angst, it's even genuinely cute at times. This album's production is just as exciting as Ken Carson's or JPEGmafia's, but Jane's emotion and charisma is very refreshing when compared to the needless edge that's been so ... read more
There are some decent singles on this project, but it's really lacking compared to A Great Chaos. Tracks like Blakk Rokkstar and LiveLeak are fun but don't bring anything new to the table, neither in terms of rapping nor production. Whereas AGC was filled to the brim with dark anthems and relentless choruses, Ken doesn't bring that same energy on this project. My hope for More Chaos was that Ken would mature lyrically while continuing to pull from a great cast of producers. ... read more
It's hard to like the character Ken exhibits on this album, but that doesn't mean I won't keep coming back for more.
Clearly a rushed project, and not as adventurous as Carti's previous albums. There are some tracks I really enjoy, but about a quarter of the songs are no-question skips. The feature list also doesn't make sense. Why have 3 uninspired Travis features? And the Kendrick features were borderline infuriating until I heard Good Credit. Do we really need two Future feats when Carti is indistinguishable from him on multiple tracks?
