Really good EP! The guitar feels melancholy at times but also hopeful and beautiful. The vocals are perfectly shitty and the songs themselves are all catchy, despite their often-depressing subject matter. It’s not exactly revolutionary to the band or the genre but it’s good enough to be a mainstay for both. As a side note TRSH is fantastic live, got to see them in April and stoked to see them again in November.
Standout songs- Sherbert Island, Butterfly Song, Gucci Towlette
I really didn’t care for this album at first. It’s taken probably a month and a half for me to really get it, and in that time it’s become one of my favorite albums, and ties (if not beats) Why Would I Watch for the best Hot Mulligan album. 100: Perfect album no notes
90-99: Genuinely fantastic, barely any complaints
80-89: Great music, plain and simple
70-79: Good stuff! Some changes could be made though
60-69: Still above average but not very notable
50-59: Listenable, but probably not my first choice
40-49: It could be worse but it’s definitely not good
30-39: Straight up bad
20-29: Terrible, very few redeeming qualities
10-19: Abysmal
1-9: Go fuck yourself
