I think about this line a lot. While superficially this is a depressing line its a lot more nuanced. Really if the machine is bleeding to death wouldn't that mean freedom yet at the same time it could spell our doom. I can never find an answer. Really it's just an observation. We are trapped in this horrible machine, and it is bleeding to death. We can never know if the machines death is too our benefit. Not until it's over
