as we all know, TWXN created a newfangled hip hop subgenre known as "rage". I, a fat 45 year old man, have little experience with this genre. However, it is TERRIFYING ! I have no idea how this stuff is made... I remember when rap music was about having a good time with the gang, riding downtown in the middle of New York city with the friends, having water gun fights. It seems Hip Hop has taken on a DARKER more INTENSE demeanor. The beats are INSANE! out of this WORLD!!!! And the lyrics remind me of those instagram reelz of lions and wild animals with quotes that my unemployed 19 year old nephew watches all the time (he was the one who introduced me to "rage" and got me "caught up with the rage lore". He's told me all about how TWXN hand crafted this subgenre and how clones popped up immediately like a game of whack-o-mole! ha ha!). All this culminates in a nuanced and braggadocious experience that really makes you think about what rap can really sound like. The whole time I felt goosebumps going up and down my back, a feeling I haven't felt since I went to my first alpha male camp with my 5 year old son. My only complaint is that the lyrics and beats are sometimes a little bit too scary!
