Bought this on a whim. Turns out to be fantastic, joyously sad and full of longing. All the songs are short and sweet, but each lands a blow emotionally.
Love this record.
Weirdly no "critics reviews" when this has had very good reviews in a number of mainstream UK music press outlets Have to doubt this site's claims.
Anyway what a beautiful record.
A wonderful record laced with a possibly psychotic dark mind. Have nearly worn it out.
Surprisingly good record, a bit patchy in places but definitely deserved more attention and glory, maybe Tom is just too nice for the hacks.
What a magical record this is. Birds and the bog as metaphors for the cycle of life portrayed through birth of generations.
Maybe limited by its narrative structure. But hey art is about more than easy chunks. This is more than the sum of its parts.
Is it me or is this a confused mash up made by a young band who aren't really sure what their sound is? Annoyingly inconsistent, but lots of potential.
