This trilogy of albums (2001 - 2006) needs to be studied. This album is truly epic and bombastic until the very last second. The elegant piano sections of origin of symmetry and the sweet, sweet feel of black holes and revelations really show that this was the transitionary album between their third greatest work, and their masterpiece. The basslines are especially wicked, the drums are energetic when they need to be, and the riffs and vocals from Mr. Bellamy are out of this world.
